Divorce can prove to be an emotionally difficult time for all involved. The ending of a marriage signifies the end of a committed relationship in most cases, but it can also be defined as a new beginning. Divorce provides a couple that is in an unfavorable situation the ability and the opportunity to move onward to something else, something more. Even though divorce is sad because of what it historically represents, it can also be viewed as a fresh start at life and at love. Before this can happen, however, there are a number of issues that usually need to be resolved before a divorce is finalized. Some of the issues have to deal with child custody, child support, alimony and spousal support just to name a few.
Orland Bloom, a famous actor, and Amanda Kerr, also famous in her own right as a model, have decided to start the divorce process. They have decided to get legally separated and have each signed a separation agreement. This famous couple has a son together and so there will come a time when issues of child custody, child support and visitation will have to be addressed. Both are of course committed to the welfare of their child and will most likely do what is necessary to ensure that their child is loved and protected throughout this process.
When children are involved, divorce is much more complicated than when they are not a part of the picture. It is way easier for a married couple with no children to get divorced because the complications are few most of the time. Children present a different set of facts and circumstances that the courts have to take into consideration when handling a divorce where children are present. In making determinations in divorce cases of this nature, the courts always utilize the best interest of the child standard to ensure that the children are taken care of appropriately.
Divorce is sad and draining but it is not the end of the world. This process allows one to let go and to move forward with a clean slate.
